Buku ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pembaca tentang kemajuan terbaru dalam teknis robotika, khususnya, ke arah kemajuan robot pelayanan kepada manusia. Untuk memastikan kualitas, buku ini hanya butuh 28 makalah dari 214 makalah yang diterima untuk publikasi untuk ICAR 2007. Pemilihan didasarkan terutama pada pahala teknis, tetapi juga mempertimbangkan apakah diminta untuk satu putaran revisi dan ekspansi. Dalam buku ini, mengemukakan 28 kontribusi dalam tiga bab. Bab 1 meliputi Novel Mekanisme, Bab 2 penawaran dengan persepsi dipandu navigasi dan manipulasi, dan Bab 3 alamat interaksi manusia-robot dan kecerdasan. Bab 1, 2 dan 3 masing-masing terdiri dari 7, 13 dan 8 kontribusi. Demi kejelasan, Bab 2 dibagi lebih lanjut ke dua bagian dengan bagian 1 untuk Persepsi Dipandu Navigasi dan Bagian 2 untuk Persepsi Dipandu Manipulasi. Bab 3 juga dibagi menjadi dua bagian dengan bagian 1 untuk inrweaksi manusia-Robot dan Bagian 2 Intelijen. Untuk kenyamanan pembaca, bab Ringkasan diperkenalkan sebagai gambaran pada awal setiap bab. Bab ringkasan disusun oleh Dr. Munsang Kim untuk Bab 1, Prof. Sukhan Lee untuk Bab 2, dan Prof. Il-Hong Suh.
