Buku ini diatur dalam 10 bab. Bab 1-8 menutupi sistem organ yang merupakan tubuh manusia. Bab 9 dan 10 penutup hematologi dan sistem kekebalan, warisan dan prinsip-prinsip infeksi.
Setiap bab berisi skenario klinis yang melibatkan kondisi penyakit umum yang mempengaruhi sistem yang sedang dipertimbangkan. Ketika Anda membaca skenario penyakit ini Anda akan diperkenalkan pada prinsip-prinsip ilmu kedokteran dasar yang mendasari: anatomi, prinsip dan fakta fisiologis, biokimia, farmakologi dan patologis relevan dengan sistem.
