Lingkup Pembahasan:
Tujuan dari buku ini adalah untuk memberikan pembaca dengan komprehensif, bergambar langkah-demi-langkah prosedur transplantasi organ abdomen dilakukan oleh ahli bedah transplantasi kontemporer. Penekanan telah ditempatkan pada prosedur baru atau prosedur yang telah mengalami modifikasi signifikan. Hal ini diakui bahwa ada banyak teknik yang dapat diterima dengan baik untuk prosedur yang sama, dengan masing-masing memiliki jasa . Sementara potensi itu mungkin untuk menyajikan semua variasi ini, upaya telah dilakukan untuk menggambarkan variasi umum dalam teknik bedah.
