Lingkup Pembahasan:
Buku ini adalah Proseding Konferensi Internasional Kedua Hybrid Learning yang diselenggarakan oleh Sekolah dari Continuing Professional dan Studi Universitas Cina Hong Kong dan Universitas Macau pada bulan Agustus 2009. ICL 2009 adalah pengalaman inventif untuk pendidikan tinggi tersier Hong Kong dan Macau. Konferensi ini bertujuan untuk memberikan platform yang baik untuk pertukaran pengetahuan tentang pembelajaran hibrida dengan berfokus pendidikan berpusat pada siswa. Teknik ini untuk melengkapi pembelajaran kelas tradisional dengan eLearning. Slogan adalah "Pendidikan mengarah eLearning," bukan sebaliknya. Metodologi adalah bahwa setidaknya 30% dari kegiatan belajar yang dilakukan oleh eLearning. Hasilnya adalah bagi siswa untuk belajar setiap saat di setiap tempat. eLearning dapat meningkatkan produktivitas belajar siswa dan mengurangi beban kerja administrasi guru sama. Ini adalah baru budaya bagi siswa, guru dan administrator sekolah untuk mengadopsi dalam abad dua puluh satu.
Hybrid Learning berasal dari Amerika Utara pada tahun 2000, dan merupakan trend yang sedang berlangsung. Model itu bukan hanya kombinasi sederhana dari pengajaran langsung dan Belajar. Ini meliputi strategi belajar yang berbeda dan elemen penting untuk mengajar dan belajar. Ini menekankan
pengajaran berbasis hasil dan pembelajaran, dan menyediakan lingkungan untuk belajar pengetahuan. Siswa diberi lebih banyak kesempatan untuk menjadi pembelajar aktif dan berlatih keterampilan praktis seperti komunikasi, kolaborasi, berpikir kritis, kreativitas, manajemen diri, belajar mandiri, pemecahan masalah, analisis dan berhitung.
