dari program penelitian pascasarjana interdisipliner »Penilaian dan konservasi keanekaragaman hayati: pelaksanaan strategi konservasi alam dalam kerangka Konvensi Keanekaragaman Hayati. Kontributor terdiri dari Para ilmuwan dari 14 disiplin ilmu. Adapun lingkup pembahasan buku ini meliputi:
Bagian I dari buku ini mengambil perspektif global dan umum di Konvensi Keanekaragaman Hayati. Bagian II mengambil perspektif lokal, regional dan nasional pada Konvensi Keanekaragaman Hayati oleh investigasi di Jerman. Studi lokal dan regional daerah di Jerman terutama terletak di Lower Oder Valley National Park di perbatasan Polandia. Sungai Oder adalah sungai dataran rendah yang khas di Eropa Tengah dengan 3-4 km lebar dataran banjir yang berdekatan dengan sungai. Bagian III mengambil perspektif lokal, regional dan nasional pada Konvensi Keanekaragaman Hayati oleh investigasi di Guatemala. Studi lokal dan regional daerah di Guatemala yang terletak di dataran tinggi tengah Guatemala dan di dataran rendah di sekitar Taman Nasional Laguna Lachuá. Semua investigasi situs di Guatemala merupakan bagian dari departemen Alta Verapaz. Bagian IV mengambil perspektif umum tentang evaluasi penelitian interdisipliner. Dalam perspektif kontribusi menyusul hasil evaluasi dan konservasi keanekaragaman hayati dalam urutan kronologis yang diberikan.
